Oblique Strategies

Oblique Strategies

'Oblique Strategies' are a pack of cards designed by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt in the 70s. Each card bears a cryptic 'strategy' to help creative types escape dead-ends in their projects, for instance 'make a sudden destructive action, incorporate'.
I made a game out of the concept by combining the cards with the popular game of Jenga. Each block has a typographical interpretation of a card on it. The type is in the original 'oblique' spirit, sprawling over all three dimensions and requiring interactive inquiry on behalf of the user.
The strategy is decided upon by playing the game (on your own or as a group) and using the brick that causes the tower to topple as an answer to your creative block
No creative environment is complete without the all-new Oblique Strategies Jenga set!
